Former SpiralFrog Management Team Launches New Interactive Services Advertising Agency--Rebel Digital
Monday April 23, 8:00 am ET
Former SpiralFrog CEO and Chief Sales and Marketing Officer--Robin Kent and Lance Ford--Sign Qtrax as Client; Will Lead Ad Sales for World's First Legal and Free P2P Music service

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Former SpiralFrog CEO, Robin Kent, and Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, Lance Ford, today announced the creation of Rebel Digital--a new advertising consultancy focused on the digital music space. Rebel Digital will sell advertising, develop marketing plans, help drive incremental traffic and provide technical solutions for web-based music sites seeking to monetize their content. The agency will focus specifically on premium content deals with "blue chip" advertisers seeking to build brand relationships with music fans across the Internet.

In its first major partnership, Rebel Digital also announced today that it will lead ad sales for Qtrax--the world's first free and legal peer-to-peer music service that's set to launch in September. Showcasing an innovative ad-supported downloading model that easily directs revenue back to artists and rights holders, Qtrax is the first P2P to be embraced en masse by the music industry--with deals in place with Universal Music Publishing, Sony/ATV, SONY BMG Music Entertainment, Warner Music Group, The Orchard, EMI Music Publishing and EMI Music, TVT Records, Go Digital, ASCAP and BMI. Qtrax is owned by Brilliant Technologies Corporation (OTCBB: BLLNE - News).

"We chose the music sector as this is one that is desirable to both a young target audience and advertisers alike," said Rebel Digital Founder Robin Kent. "We know advertisers and the music community have a strong desire to partner and we believe we can help facilitate this."

"The relationship with Qtrax is a profound combination of pioneering talent and technology in this very active space," said Rebel Digital Co-Founder Lance Ford. "This synergy will guarantee success on a massive scale that could forever change the tenets of how free music is monetized on the Internet. Qtrax is a natural partner for Rebel Digital, we know a lot about this space having seen numerous platforms, models and sites. Our experience leads us to say unequivocally that Qtrax is built to succeed in what is an extremely difficult, but exciting environment."

"What was another company's loss is our gain," said Qtrax President and CEO Allan Klepfisz. "Once we knew Robin and Lance were looking to create a business designed to assist companies such as ours, we immediately leapt at the chance to engage them in all aspects of Qtrax's future growth. They are clearly pioneers in the ad-supported space and it is our good fortune to have engaged their services."

"Content is king," said Ford when asked about so-called competitors. "Qtrax will have access to the whole of the P2P network which dwarfs any other proposition we have seen or been involved with. If you wish to reach a young target audience who have access to pretty much all the music that's ever been produced the P2P network is the only area to tap, that's where music fans live and breathe and they are not going to change their habits anytime soon. For anyone trying to attract this audience with anything less than a P2P offering they should simply pack up and go home as they will not compete."

"You can't make the audience go where they don't want to go, that's counter intuitive and it won't work, which is the genius of Qtrax," added Kent.
